It's been a slow week - not much that is newsworthy until today! My fingerprint clearance FINALLY came back from the school district - after NINE long weeks (they told me it would be four)!! Hallelujah!! I could go on and on about how ridiculous the district is and how I've already been fingerprinted for the district twice before and how they won't share information between departments because of privacy issues - I won't share all of that because it will only make me crazy - especially since I will have to pay again and be fingerprinted when I do my student teaching and then I will have to pay one more time and be fingerprinted AGAIN when I'm finally hired as a teacher...do you see how this could make a person crazy?? (and yet, somehow, they still manage to hire pedophiles...go figure...)
But I digress...yay, that I can finally get back to work! I loved my job as an Instructional Assistant last year but I missed being in the classroom - most of my job was to do pull-outs and small group work. So I'm thrilled to get back to teaching, finish my degree, do my student-teaching and get hired as a teacher. I have a lot of great ideas and plans for my own classroom and can't wait to get started. It feels good to finally be on the right path and I'm excited about all the new things ahead!
