12 Years Ago At This Time....

12 years ago, at this time, the doctor's had decided to finally give me a C-section. I had been induced on the evening of Feb. 11th and by about 2:00pm on the 13th, with me only dialated to a 5, they decided that a c-section would be the best thing to do. At that point I was so exhausted that major surgery sounded like a gift from heaven! A couple hours later, at 4:42 pm, out came Erika - all 8lbs. 15oz. of her! We couldn't believe how much she looked like Eric!

Nor could we have imagined what an awesome person she would turn into!!


Here she is this morning getting her brand new cell phone! She was surprised and VERY happy!! (Don't worry - we have guidelines regarding usage!)


Anyway, she is turning into an awesome girl! She's got a sunny attitude, a GREAT sense of humor, a strong sense of compassion for others, lots of brains and good grades, a talent for the clarinet, a burning desire to play soccer, a growing testimony and lots of love for her family. Happy Birthday Dear Erika, Happy Birthday to You!!
