So I'm down with another lousy cold and sore throat this weekend - it has put a dent in all of my industrious weekend plans as I have pretty much been confined to my bed for the last two days. It sounds great in theory, but let me assure you, I am easily bored and I'm starting to go a little crazy. I think I've reached my limit for rest and plan to get up and get moving in the morning, regardless of how I feel.
Anyway, not my point for this post. My point is, as I was cleaning my bed off before going to sleep last night, I found a sweet "Get Well" card from Kelcie -not sure when she slipped it in but it caught me by surprise and I very nearly got teary. Here it is - actual spelling and punctuation included:

wolde not be there at
the sea. I hope you get

My girls have each been lovely about leaving me notes and they always make me happy and make me feel special - this one was just extra timely because I was feeling so lousy so it just made my day. Sweet Kelcie!
PS- you understand that "wolde" is Kelcie's version of "would" - she's a marvelous reader but still working on the mechanics of spelling!

I remember last year Cless made me a card for my birthday and slipped it under my door while I was sleeping since I worked the night before. He did the same phonetic spelling and he also included one of his prized spiderman tatoos and a piece of gum. It was seriously the best birthday present I got!!
