I Saw it Anyway...

It's true - I threw all my good sense out the window and went to the midnight opening of "Twilight" on Thursday night. I got about two hours of sleep before I had to get up and head to the other side of town for a 6:30 am orientation meeting for my new job. Turns out, it wasn't that bad - not that it's a smart thing to do on a regular basis but for one day, it wasn't too bad.

But never mind whether or not I was tired. How was the movie, you ask? (for the few of you who didn't lose their minds and haven't seen it yet) It was good - not a cinematic masterpiece but it stayed pretty true to the book and it was fun to watch. I thought it was a little rushed - but it would have to be to fit in all the important elements. Despite the loss of sleep, I was glad I went. Rumor has it, another movie is in the works. I'll put a new countdown on my blog as soon as they make one!

Yes they have greenlighted New Moon after seeing the first day of ticket sells, which was more than the movie cost to make. Maybe now they will spend extra on the special effects considering the next book has the shapeshifters and the Volturi. Both are going to take some special effects galore!
