Odds N' Ends

Last Day of School, A Kid With the Flu, and Happy Birthday to Eric...that sums up the last day or so! The kids finished their last day of school yesterday - can I just say how much I love being on a 9 month schedule? We've been year-round for years so this is really nice, especially now that Erika is in middle school - it keeps all the girls on the same schedule. It really made the school year seem to fly by though. Anyway, we enjoyed all the end-of-the-year awards and festivities and then Erika took off for three back-to-back pool parties and the little girls hung out with Eric and I the rest of the day.

This morning we woke up to Eric's Birthday (Happy 38th!!) and Hailey with a lovely case of the stomach flu. Needless to say, it's been an uneventful birthday for the Dad in our house. He had two job interviews today and a seminar to go to tonight so it hasn't been very festive but we'll make up for it later. Sure love that husband of mine though! He works HARD to take care of us, he's a WONDERFUL Dad and a very sweet and considerate husband. I always say that I really couldn't have married anyone else because he's the only one who really GETS me! It's nice to be married to someone like that! Happy Birthday Honey!
