Well, it's official! The Teenager is officially a teenager. I can't believe how fast time has gone by - I remember the day she was born like it was yesterday. Erika was the perfect baby - Eric and I were still in school and I really needed a baby who would be a good sleeper so that I could keep up with my classes and she was absolute perfection! A good sleeper, good eater, and easy going - we had so much fun with her during those first two years, in our little apartment out in Medical Lake. Eric and I staggered our schedules so that we wouldn't have to do daycare and our moms and my sister Melissa filled in wherever we needed help but I have fun memories of putting Erika in the backpack and hopping on the bus to get to school. We'd meet Eric and we'd switch and the two of them would ride the bus back home while I went to class. It felt like those days would last forever and now here we are and she's this amazing 13 year old! She's still a good sleeper, a good eater and easy going! She's also a great soccer player, a straight A student, a clarinet player, a great friend and a girl who knows exactly who she is and isn't afraid to let people know it. She's an amazing example to all of us in our family and we love her dearly. Happy Birthday Erika!

Wow! What a beautiful grown up Erika you have! Happy Birthday! I am behind on your blog so I wanted to comment on a couple of things: 1. We need to come visit. I hate February here! 2. I am so sorry about your scary adventure hike and more importantly your miscarriage. I hope you are feeling comfort as time passes--we had the same thing happen to us before Bradley was born. It really helped us realize there was still a baby coming to our family and I hope Heavenly Father's plan for your family becomes clear soon =) Also, I sent you a friend request on Facebook--I need more contact with you guys!!
You forgot to mention that Erika is a great babysitter!!! I was so worried about leaing my little Anthony because he was so grumpy, but he had a great time with Erika! She totally rocks!!!It doesn't surprise me she was a good baby, but then look at who her parents are too!!!!
